"Paradise!"

My jaw dropped when I entered and I didn't pick it back up off of the floor for our entire stay here! :) We have never stayed at a place so extraordinary - and at such a reasonable price! We were just floored. It felt like a luxurious palace, while also having many unique, one-of-a-kind features. The owner has put a lot of care into this house and it shows. It truly felt like living in the middle of a rainforest - while not having to pay the price of many bug bites! The way the Suite was set up was just terrific for feeling like you were in the middle of nature, while being screened in. We absolutely loved our stay here and would love to come again in the future! Thank you for your hospitality!

"A Hidden Gem"

Breathtaking, marvelous, hospitable, is how I would describe our experience! The accommodations were very clean and the grounds well maintained and picturesque. Beautiful plants, trees and other foliage are plentiful on the property. We wanted to stay on the north shore to experience the scenery and stunning nature Kauai has to offer. We were not disappointed! Just a short drive to gorgeous Hanalei Bay and other great beaches, hiking and the Na Pali coast to the north. This is an excellent place to stay if you are looking for abundant nature, amazing views and a perfect location to take it all in.

"Fantastic Accommodations!"

We had a great stay at the Dawn Studio. The host was perfect and had great tips for making the most of our trip to Hanalei. The apartment is kept in immaculate condition and had everything we needed. The location is very convenient to get to Lumahai and Tunnels Beaches, as well as to the Kalalau Trail. This is the perfect choice if you are looking for quiet and serene surroundings with beautiful views.

"Ahhhhh...serenity"

This was the most pleasant surprise of our 18 day Hawaiian vacation. I wish we had spent the entire time here! The apartment was immaculate, well appointed & constructed with superb attention to detail. There was nothing lacking! The owner's son was extremely helpful and non-obtrusive. The property itself is gorgeous, greeting you daily with a chorus of tropical music and fabulous rainbows. Hanalei town is very close, but just far enough away. Beautiful beaches abound, as do very nice restaurants and shopping. What we most appreciated was the proximity to the remarkable Kalalau trail; this is a hiker's paradise. I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation; we felt as though we had discovered a well-kept secret!

"An outstanding house with spectacular views"

There were beautiful rainbows almost every day, sometimes doubles. The grounds of the house have wonderful trees and flowers and several ponds which are full of fish and visited by exotic birds.

It is clear that the house was built with extraordinary craftsmanship and the highest quality materials. We were completely satisfied with the kitchens, bathrooms and laundry facilities.

The house is within easy driving distance of some of Kauai's best beaches and the start of the world famous Kalalau trail.

All in all it was a terrific experience which we would recommend to anyone. We are all looking forward to a return trip!

"Tree top get-away that's the real deal"

I just returned from a 2-night stay with my partner and would recommend this place, with no hesitation, to anyone who wants a travel experience that breaks through the generic offerings of hotels. I travel internationally a fair bit and when I woke up the first morning -- yes, to sounds of roosters and loud tropical birds -- I could also see the lush valley -- from our bed. The valley views reminded me of a stay in the Swiss Alps (except with a green rain forest version of mountains). The sounds and sights of the rain forest reminded me of stays I've had in Tanzania or several countries in Central America. And the fact that there were so many windows and doors allowed a beautiful breeze to make sleeping comfortable. I *loved* it. Beyond the feeling that you're immersed in nature, the manager has also thought of so many details that make traveling easier -- like a kitchenette, laundry, beach chairs, etc and he is generous with all of them. And, the location is fantastic. You're minutes outside of Hanalei, we drove easily to the trailhead at Ke'e beach to hike, and we snorkeled at Tunnels like it was basically in our neighborhood.

Often when I travel I want to eat at local eateries to get a feel for the place, but here we wanted to get groceries so we could "stay home" and just soak it in. This experience was in sharp contrast to our stay in Poipu where we had a room at the Marriott. I know that some people prefer the certainty they get with chain hotels, but I don't. At the Marriott I wouldn't have been able to tell you I was in Hawaii - the sounds, air, and surrounding are so generic and controlled that we could have been in Michigan for all I could tell. We compared everything that happened at the Marriott (which was twice as expensive) to Bea's the rest of our trip. If you want to experience Hawaii, don't stay at a hotel - stay here.

Finally Found Our Home Away From Home

As soon as we arrived, we were taken back by the natural beauty that surrounds this home - not to mention the beauty of the home itself! Pictures cannot do it justice!
Are parking was covered and the signs were easy to read. The suite is exceptionally big - that of a nice 1-bedroom apartment. Now, can we talk about the HUGE lanai for a moment!? There is nothing more serene than this!

The suite has everything you need! We almost didn't need to have any food because the cabinets had food in them for us to have. If you need to be "connected" to the world through the internet, they have plug-in available! It's better than wifi when you are out there because it reduces spotty connections (we know because the last place we stayed had wife and we almost never got a good signal).

Living here also was the owner's son, who is one of the friendliest, down-to-earth people you can meet! He calmed our nerves about the "H word" (hurricanes). He gave us great tips for where to go around the island. He made sure we had everything we needed to accommodate our stay! On some nights, we would just go down to talk to him for good company - very nice man.

In the end, we never wanted to leave. We told owner that we need to black out the dates of our anniversaries to come so that we can always stay here. Honestly, we really did feel like our home away from home! We can't wait to go back!

Amazing, we loved it here

It was a 'wow' moment when we opened the door, the view was spectacular. The living area had a feeling of inside/outside with the view of the valley from the curved lanai. We also loved the traditional decor with bamboo furniture and Hawaiian prints on the wall - it gave the place an added touch.
The location was not as remote as I was expecting with a small store at the bottom of the street and a 10 min drive to Hanalei. We spent the week cruising around the North shore and location wise this is spot on if you want to be away from big resorts. It is close enough to Hanalei bay for dinner/groceries etc and the Napali coast and amazing beaches on the North Shore. It was also great value for money, the Moon studio is so spacious for two so was also great to hang out in on rainy mornings and evenings when we ate in. The owner's family was on hand to help with any local knowledge, plus there were boogie boards, snorkels, fins and chairs on hand to borrow for beach days. I think this place is amazing and you know what the frogs didn't bother me.

Mellow stay on the beautiful north shore...

My husband and I had a great stay here this summer. It's fairly close to the beach, but we ended up driving to other beaches for snorkeling. It's fairly close to town, but it's really too far to walk there. Plus the roads are really narrow so there's not really a safe place to walk. Tunnels beach (great for snorkeling) is a short drive away, but watch out for sharks :-)
The studio was nice and comfortable. All in all it was a great stay. Can't wait to go to the north shore again.

Beautiful setting, nicely appointed studio

The place has beautiful woodwork and is like living in the treetops. Great lanai overlooking a lily pond that has ducks and blooming lilies. The trees outside are blooming, and the birds flit between the trees and lanai. You can lay in bed and see the mountains beyond the bamboo, palms and blooming trees. Most of the time you can't hear dogs in distance, but if you sleep lightly, bring ear plugs because the combo of free roaming Kauai chickens, barking dogs and croaking frogs can be too much. My husband thought it was too noisy and it didn't bother me at all. I think it will be hot in summer because of the western exposure, but it was lovely in winter! The ceilings are very high and there is a ceiling fan, as well as lots of jalousied windows to let in the breeze. No wifi or cellphone service, but free phone use and cable internet if you bring a computer that can hard wire to it. The owner is a little quirky, asking his guests to help clean up when they leave (wash dishes, take out trash,...), but there is no added cleanup charge so his requests were reasonable. Definitely a nice place, only five minutes from Hanalei and 10 minutes from ke'e beach and the limihuli botanical gardens. I would stay there again!

Wonderful Rain Forest Retreat!

If you're looking for fun & frolic with lively entertainment, PLEASE, look elsewhere. You'll hate it, and your neighbors probably will be annoyed...

HOWEVER, if you've always wanted to experience living the beautiful sights and sounds of nature at tree level, this rental is just what you're looking for!

Indulge yourself.

When we walked in, it was so large that my girlfriend asked where the receptionist was so we could check in. I replied..."This IS our place." and her jaw dropped; she was totally blown away! This vacation was the first where rental properties were used, and due to availability I was forced to secure 2 separate rentals for the 10 day trip. After visiting many other places and seeing other rentals, I really wish I had simply stayed here the whole time!

After staying there for a few days the genuine rest, tranquility and peace began to really soak into us. The spaciousness and being able to unpack into drawers and hang out clothes in the walk-in closet was very nice. Having breakfast on the lanai every morning was absolutely amazing. The kitchen was nicely stocked to be able to make whatever you can imagine; even had a griddle!

There was also really nice internet speeds, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a washer / dryer, and everything you'd need to have a great time!

The wildlife around the property was so fantastic. There were ducks, geese, frogs, and all kinds of birds that really set the tone to have a fantastic trip.

Being a little more remote than most places might deter some people from going, but everywhere we drove had beautiful drives. All the greatest north shore beaches were within 15 minutes max from the property, and the absolute peacefulness of the property made for excellent recharge and resting times.

Best vacation I've ever had!

Excellent Hanalei Hideaway

The location is perfect -- nestled above a lily pond, away from the hubbub of the beach but still walking distance, and a few minutes away by car from Hanalei and Princeville. Views from our room and deck were wonderful, looking south at the lush mountain-scape or down to the lily pond with its blossoms, fish, ducks, turtles and frogs.

Overall we were delighted with our stay. We're already planning a return visit.

One tip: the great virtue of this place-- its natural setting and open air (with screens) rooms -- may be an annoyance for those who light sleepers.

We found the Hawaii we were looking for!

What a wonderful find! We were amazed by the views, the accommodations, the architecture and details were phenomenal. I felt as though I were in Jurassic Park, and came to find out later, that the movie was largely filmed in the same valley. This place is in the Hawaiian image I imagined and looked for during the long process of research and inquiries I made before deciding on this one. The booking process was seamless. Fast response, easy booking, great directions, it could not have been better. I felt I had made the right decision for a very big vacation, and long over due. I have to say, the pictures on their website do not do the place justice. But, it made it all the more awe inspiring when we got there. We had everything we needed too. Thank you for being such a gracious host as well. We would love to return to Kauai someday, and hope to stay at your place again.

Perfect North Shore Rental

We stayed for 2 weeks. Booking this was extremely easy and Leslie was very easy to communicate with via email. The location is fantastic for access to North Shore beaches. Everything you could want is there after a long day of hiking or swimming. They have truly though of everything from beach toys to things in the medicine cabinet. Though there is no air conditioning, it was actually cool during the night. The only down side is the frogs and chickens noises-but this is Kauai and we were expecting that. Since we did not get to hike the entire Kalalua trail, we plan to return. I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else. As a rule, I never make a return visit to anywhere, but this time I will make an exception. A slice of Paradise.

Buono

La posizione è fantastica ed è possibile raggiungere le bellissime spiagge del nord in pochiminuti di auto. I Suoni della natura ti accompagnano 24 ore al giorno e sonosemplicemente meravigliosi :rane, uccelli e galli. Migliorabile l'igiene nelle camere. Consigliato.

Fantastic condo, incredible view

This place is absolutely fantastic. Located up on the North end of Kauai, it's a few minutes from Hanalei in one direction and the Na Pali coast in the other.

When you walk into the suite you're faced with this enormous curved lanai with incredible views of the Northern mountains. It's quite breathtaking. The suite is enormous, and the grounds are wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

We stayed there for a few days mid October, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came home again completely relaxed. We wanted a self-catering apartment, because we wanted to sample the farmers markets and cook for ourselves, so it was important that the kitchen was fully stocked. There are fantastic beaches very close by (including the awesome tunnels beach) and you can borrow their beach equipment (snorkels, boogie boards etc.) too.

All in all a great place to stay.
